Who We Are

Pat has been knitting since she was 10 years old, and has been actively involved with knitting since she retired from Hughes Aircraft Co. where she was a financial analyst. She taught hand knitting at Alvina Murdock's Machine Knit Shop in Anaheim, CA for two years. Most of her projects have been ski sweaters, hats, vests and jackets for family members and friends. She helps out on a regular basis at Knot Just Yarn, as well.

Laura's grandmother taught her to knit when she was only 6 years old. She has recently started knitting and working with fiber again. Laura's smiling face can be seen nearly every day behind the counter at Knot Just Yarn.

Tiny has been dyeing with natural dyes for more than 20 years. She has taught natural dye classes for Northwest Regional Spinners Assn. at their annual conference and The Snohomish Valley Spinning Guild. She is a founding member of both organizations and has been a fiber artist, who has knitted, crocheted, woven and spun, all her adult life. As a native of Washington State she has intimate knowledge of its growing things that provide color. Tiny works part-time at Knot Just Yarn - watch for her ready smile when you come in to shop!

Becky opened Knot Just Yarn in 1997. Like many of us, she was taught to knit at the age of 8 by her grandmother. Becky's primary focus as a yarn shop owner is to make her customers feel welcome, and encourage success with fiber artists of all levels of expertise. It is gratifying to have customers enjoy their shopping and learning experience at Knot Just Yarn, and Becky takes pride in the level of customer service that she and her shop employees provide on a daily basis. (The photo expresses how Becky is feeling after working on the new website!)

Winky is the least productive member of our staff. In the five years that she has been coming to work at Knot Just Yarn, she has contributed very little to the knitting community. She can't knit, crochet, weave or embroider. About all she is good for is product testing of warm shawls, blankets and wraps. She can usually be found sleeping on the job, behind the counter.
